Every year, Apex hosts their campaign to get personal items and raise funds for CASA Kane County.Foster children have very few belongings when they are moved between families and these children are often forced to carry their few keepsakes and belongings in plastic trash bags without any personal incidentals.Jim Chakires, CASA Executive Board Member with wife Jessie Carrying their items in bags can be embarrassing and yet another reminderand Gloria Kelley, Executive Director of CASAof how little they own.This year, Jim and Jessie were humbled by the community support and excitedly surpassed their fundraising goal of $40,000!Thank you to all the generous donors, supporters, James and Jessie Chakires, and Apex CPAs & Consultants who continually go above and beyond for vulnerable youth in need!
