b'HEAR FROMSTAFFKudos to CASA/GAL Craig H. who nudged and pushed everyone involved to make sure his CASA youth would be set up for success as he aged out of the system. This youth is deaf and has cognitive delays so it was important for him to have housing and services once DCFS no longer had custody and guardianship of him. We are not sure this would have been accomplished without Craigs diligence and advocacy for this young man. Thank you, Craig, for truly making a difference inthis young mans life! Deb M. Advocate Supervisor for 20+ yearsHEAR FROM A FOSTER PARENTThe nature of foster care requires our children to be resilient constantly, with so many overwhelming experiences out of their control. As the Covid-19 pandemic began, every one of us was required to be more flexible and resourceful in order to continue serving our kids in care. Our personal family experience was as part of a team that was up to that task and we had the privilege of being one of the very first Zoom adoptions in Kane County. We are grateful to the Photo by: Kyle Petit Media Judge, CASA, case workers, and early intervention therapists for carrying out their commitments to serve the best interest of thechildren in new ways during this very challenging year.
