Children impacted by substance use disorders and mental health challenges experience profound trauma, particularly when separated from caregivers or placed in foster care. This trauma is often misunderstood and worsened by stigma and a lack of resources. The Circle of Care (CoC) project provides research, tools, and support strategies for professionals and caregivers, including practical resources like Comfort Bags, to better address the unique grief and loss these youth face.
