In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, please join us for our annual Hands Around the Courthouse—a meaningful ceremony held inside the courthouse rotunda that brings our community together in support of children in foster care.
This annual gathering honors children whose lives are impacted by abuse and neglect. It also celebrates the dedicated CASA Volunteer Advocates who show up where children are—in their homes, schools, and communities—building trust, offering stability, and standing beside them every step of the way.
We are honored to welcome remarks from Chief Judge Robert Villa and Tarra Winters, Executive Director of Prevent Child Abuse Illinois, as they share the importance of prevention, advocacy, and community partnership in protecting children and strengthening families.
Hands Around the Courthouse is a moment to pause and reflect—to recognize the courage of children in foster care, the life-changing impact of CASA/GAL volunteers, and the power of a community that chooses to care. Together, we shine a light forward—offering comfort, advocacy, and hope for brighter futures.
The ceremony will begin at noon in the courthouse rotunda. Light refreshments will be provided.
