Every child deserves opportunities to explore, learn, laugh, and create happy memories. For children and families served by CASA Kane County, the CASA Adventure Club helps make those moments possible.
The Adventure Club connects children of all ages with safe, enriching activities throughout the year. Opportunities may include sporting events, outdoor adventures, creative workshops, holiday celebrations, community activities, educational experiences, and other memorable outings.
For children who have experienced abuse or neglect and entered the child welfare system, these activities can mean far more than a fun afternoon. Many face uncertainty, major transitions, and circumstances beyond their control. A positive experience can provide a welcome sense of normalcy and allow them to simply enjoy being a child during a challenging chapter in their young lives.
Trying something new may also help a child build confidence, discover an interest, strengthen social skills, and feel more connected to the community. A museum visit, baseball game, art class, outdoor adventure, or seasonal celebration can become a meaningful memory that lasts well beyond the event itself.
CASA Kane County maintains a password-protected Adventure Club page for CASA volunteers, guardians, and participating families. The page is updated regularly as tickets, activities, and special opportunities become available, helping families find experiences suited to each child’s age and interests.
Community support keeps these adventures going. Local businesses, organizations, civic groups, and individuals can sponsor an event or activity for children served by CASA Kane County. Sponsorships may help provide tickets, transportation, supplies, meals, or other resources needed to make an outing possible.
Those interested in sponsoring an Adventure Club event or activity are encouraged to contact Elizabeth Serediuk at elizabeths2@casakanecounty.org.
With the community’s help, CASA Kane County can continue giving children opportunities to try new things, share joyful moments, and create memories that remind them they are valued and supported.
