As a CASA/GAL volunteer you are required to attain 12-20 continuing education credits per year of service. To meet your needs from a CASA to CASA – Case to Case and Child to Child learning, we are bringing the educational tools to your fingertips.
There are variety of means to earn your CORE & Elective Continuing Education credits from live In-Service classes to an exhaustive list of On-the-Go Education.
You can access your learning opportunities anytime through the live calendar link on the Continuing Education College on CASA U. Additionally, you will receive monthly calendar snapshots of upcoming classes from you Advocate Supervisor as well as e-invites sent directly to your secure casakanecounty.org email!

CORE (Continuing Opportunities Refresh & Educate)

- CASA 101 – Refresher of Excellence
- A refresher in core programmatic information used to update CASA/GAL volunteers.
- Recertification for Abuse & Neglect
- A review of foundational material pertinent to Abuse and Neglect cases for CASA/GALs that have recently closed or haven’t taken a case in several months and are looking to accept a case.
- Recertification and Training for Probate
- A review of foundational material pertinent to Probate cases for CASA/GALs.
- Offered twice a year | Required once a year for volunteers dealing with Probate cases.
- Post-Training Class
- After Pre-Service training volunteers are required to attend Post-Training that will help solidify the foundational elements learned in training.
