Case Materials – Harris-Price Case Simulation
- Read Case Items 11-14 that you received via email from the Casemaster.
(Case Items 9 and 10 will be distributed during Session 4.) - Complete items on the Task Lists for Case Items 11-13.
Note: For Case Item 14-EM Client Service Plan HP Case, enter a contact log in Optima as a Reviewed Report (1 hour). - Complete the ICQNS (Information, Concerns/Questions, Next Steps) form on Case Items 11-14, and bring the completed ICQNS Form to Session 4.

- Entering a Child Visit & an Interview with a Foster Parent (2:52)
- This lesson demonstrates another common entry. In many cases the child may be in a foster home and visits will take place in the presence of the foster parent. While primarily a child visit, the CASA/GAL will want to interview the foster parent about the child’s development and behaviors–especially if the child is an infant or has other communication issues. This lesson demonstrates how to enter both the visit with the child and the interview with the foster parent.
- Entering an Interview with a Parent (3:02)
- This lesson demonstrates how to enter an interview when the child is not present. In this case, the interview is with the biological mother in the Harris-Price case.
- Entering an Interview with a Parent Using Optima-go (11:00)
- This lesson starts by demonstrating how to enter an interview with a parent using a laptop/desktop. This lesson then uses the same interview data to demonstrate how to enter it in Optima-go using a smartphone and a smart tablet. The lesson ends with a demonstration of how information entered in Optima-go can be edited with a laptop/desktop.
Reminder: Go back to Case Item 2-EM Bob Johnson, DCFS Caseworker – Interview by Phone and enter that interview in Optima.
