Party for a Purpose

Party for a Purpose – When Fun Experiences Can Raise Friends and Funds

Everyone loves a party, it is a great time to connect with old friends, family as well as making new connections. More and more, we are looking for reasons to get together, have fun and share what we are passionate about, support and hold dear to our hearts.

Hosting a Party for a Purpose adds another organic but fun element to your party by helping to raise awareness and/or fundraise in your community. This is a natural way you can help spread awareness for CASA Kane County and our mission while hosting a social event with your friends, family and connections.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) CASA Kane County is a Guardian ad Litem, nonprofit volunteer organization that advocates for the best interests of children in abuse, neglect and private guardianship cases within the Juvenile Court system. We are a non-profit 501C3 believing all children in the foster care system should have a safe, nurturing and permanent home where they can thrive with the support and involvement of their community. CASA Kane County relies on the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations for annual donations. Funding provides a trained CASA/GAL volunteer to support the best interests of children for 100% of cases originating in Kane County. Our CASAs continue to care for children wherever they move around Illinois until permanency is achieved.

Parties for a Purpose are third-party fundraising events or activities held by a non-affiliated group or individual where CASA Kane County can provide resources, information materials, ideas, help promoting and a presence at your event, if requested!

It’s easy to create an awareness/fundraising event and invite your friends, family and colleagues to support children, who through no fault of their own, enter Abuse/ Neglect Courts within the 16th Judicial Court system.

    • Turn your birthday, wedding, graduation, holiday or any day into a fundraiser!

Then please help CASA and have a Party with a Purpose at your home, place of business or any location you choose!

WHAT IS IT?

“Party for A Purpose” is a way for CASA Kane County supporters, friends, volunteers, donors, and staff to get involved in our mission to end the cycle of child abuse and give children a voice in abuse and neglect courts by hosting a party to support CASA Kane County and share how everyone can make an impact by volunteering, donating or connecting.

Due to the rapid increase in cases of abuse and neglect of children, WE NEED YOU to utilize your circles of influence to help us raise funds and expand awareness to support 100% of children who are victims of abuse and neglect with a CASA/GAL volunteer.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

It’s simple!  You provide or choose the venue, food, drinks, entertainment, and cheer! Invite your friends, family neighbors, co-workers over for a meaningful get-together, a “Party for a Purpose.”

It could be a backyard barbeque, a quiet evening of cocktails, or an active evening of music and dancing! We will work with you to set goals for the evening and assist you in planning your event.

A CASA Kane County staff or trained CASA volunteer can attend your event and provide a brief presentation about CASA and our program.

Ask your guests to do one of the following to help serve the efforts of CASA Kane County and abused and neglected children in your community:

    • Purchase a Gala Grand Raffle Ticket – 1 for $20 or 7 for $100
    • Bring a donated item:
      • Gift cards – Local restaurant or business gift cards can be used for our Gala Silent Auction, or gas gift cards, child focused stores or box retailer gift cards can be used to help our daily operations and providing incidentals for children as needed.
      • Bottle of wine or spirits – This can be used for our Gala Silent Auction to stock the bar cart.
    • Give a donation!
    • AND, spread the word on social media and your email lists!
